The second edition of Corporate Volunteering Conclave – CVC 2.0 was organized by Youth for Seva on January 25th 2019 at Infosys convention Center , Bengaluru. The event which brought many corporates together & to share their best practices in the area of corporate volunteering today and how these corporates are engaging their employees in impactful volunteering programs.
Over 250+ delegates from various corporates, NGOs & colleges participated in this event which provided a platform for all the delegates to network & share their experience in the social sector. Ms Shruti Gupta, Managing Director & National Sales Head, Citi Commercial Bank addressed the inaugural session & Dr. R Balasubramaniam ,Founder of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) and Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) rendered the Key note address & provided lot of insight on the current need of meaningful volunteerism.
Highlight of the event was the corporate panel Discussion on “Impact through corporate volunteering” moderated by Mr Madan Padaki ( Founder & CEO , 1 Bridge ) with the panelists Ms Krishnaveni Nalgonda ,VP – charitable giving and volunteering , HSBC Global Service Centers, Mr Satya Prakash Singh , Director, CSR & Corporate Communications, Intel India, Ms Rohini Kamath, Program Manager, Corporate Affairs, Cisco India, Mr Satish Grampurohit , Global Delivery Head – Insurance Vertical & Member Samarpan Team, Infosys Limited, Bangalore and Mr Abhishek Ranjan, Associate Director and Global Head – Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility (CSR) , Brillio . This session saw a huge applause from all the delegates & it was exceptionally moderated by Mr. Madan with appropriate discussion points on the corporate volunteering scenario in different corporates today. This session ended with Q and A from the delegates.
Sri Binod H R, Executive Vice president and the Global Head of Talent and Technology Operations & Quality, Infosys & Prof Dr. R Vaidyanathan, IIM , Bangalore were present for the Awards ceremony where Youth for Seva conferred awards in 2 categories (Employee Engagement champion for corporates & Employee volunteer champion for corporate individuals) who significantly contributed in the impactful social sector programs which can be scaled to next levels.
Valedictory address was rendered by Prof Dr. R Vaidyanathan. Overall the conclave with event sponsors ONGC & venue sponsors Infosys, achieved the objectives set in bringing the Corporate volunteering champions together to share the best practices & to scale up much higher level of employee engagements in the social sector.
