Corporate Social Responsibility has come a long way from being mere corporate welfare schemes which were aimed at uplifting communities around their organisation. The Government’s dictum to contribute 2% of the profits for CSR Spends has further boosted the sector and this could translate to a positive transformation in the foreseeable future.
Youth for Seva has been a witness to these changing trends in its journey of engaging volunteers from various walks of life. Though corporate funding has been a consistent contributing factor in organizing community work, there are a growing number of companies offering avenues to employees to volunteer in these projects. It is therefore the need of the hour to not just identify potential projects to contribute funds, but to also devise models to involve employees. The core objectives are to inculcate a culture of volunteering to build a sense of inclusion, promote sustainability and maximize impact.
The conclave will include participation of leaders from the corporate and development sector, along with CSR experts, policy makers and organizations studying trends and patterns of volunteering.
