Chiguru, the annual cultural event organised by Youth For Seva, brings together thousands of children from across government schools at Bengaluru. This year being the 9th Chiguru event, it reached a new high with 2855 children from 93 government schools participating in several competitions like group dance, group song, wealth out of waste, debate and many more. We had the theme as “Festivals” and had the opportunity to witness a range of cultures and traditions that India is synonymous for. A whopping of 677 people volunteered for Chiguru.
The preparations for the event started right from September and hundreds of volunteers were engaged in training children for various competitions and in managing the event as well. All the efforts culminated in a grand success of the event which witnessed respected dignitaries, corporate volunteers and several reputed judges from across professions. Youth For Seva joined hands with many organisations to make this event a grand success. We are thankful to our partners.
