Recently we are observing a huge increase in depression and stress related problems which is leading to increase in suicide cases in India. Bharath identified parents as key stakeholders who could make a difference in addressing these issues. He decided to conduct workshops on positive parental guidance to create awareness on how to handle emotions and stress in adolescents so that the children won’t take any wrong decisions when they are emotionally charged. Bharat has conducted several workshops for several hundred parents of lower income families. Bharath is also working on a scholarship program ‘Pratibha Puraskara’ to facilitate education of economically poor students from rural area who have scored exceptionally well in II PUC inspite of facing lot of hurdles in their life. He also connects corporates to Government schools in rural districts like Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru rural to distribute notebooks.
